Als kind werd Joost Jong, gestimuleerd door zijn ouders, ondergedompeld in de wereld van de klassieke muziek. Hij volgde 7 jaar klassieke pianoscholing.
In de jaren ´80 ontdekte hij dat er meer dan alleen radio 4 te koop was en richtte zijn aandacht op nieuwe muziekstijlen. In deze periode werd de basis gelegd voor zijn brede muzieksmaak.
Begin jaren ´90 begon Joost als zanger van de rockbands Wicked Ways en Junkyard Dogs. Halverwege de jaren ´90 boekte hij successen met de Low Down Dirty Shame Band en trad daarmee onder andere op in Engeland. Vanaf het nieuwe millennium trad hij toe tot de Haarlemse band Carbon Clean Out waarmee veel op feesten werd gespeeld. Later in Spanje zette hij als eerste een Michael Bublé Tribute act op. Naast de Tribute Show verzorgt hij ook Diner Shows in diverse thema´s maar steeds met als rode draad zijn enorm gevarieerde repertoire van jaren ‘60 tot 2000.
Joost is zowel in Nederland als internationaal te boeken.
As a child Joost Jong was inspired by his parents’ musicality and immersed in the world of classical music. He studied classical piano for 7 years.
In the 80´s he discovered that there was more to music than the classics and he focused on learning more about other styles. In this period the foundations were laid for his versatile range of music.
In the beginning of the 90´s Joost started as lead singer of the rock bands Wicked Ways and Junkyard Dogs. Halfway through the 90´s he was successful with the Low Down Dirty Shame Band and performed in England. From the new millennium he joined the Haarlem band Carbon Clean Out with which he played a lot at parties. Later in Spain he was the first to introduce a Michael Bublé Tribute. Besides the Tribute show he also performs with different themes at Dinner Shows, always having his versatile repertoire from the 60´s – 00´s as a guide.
